Special requirements for beer labels

with the continuous updating of equipment in the beer industry, the bottling and labeling speed of the production line is faster and faster, and the quality requirements for beer self-adhesive labels are also higher and higher. In the current beer label acceptance standards, there are not only paper quality requirements, printing quality requirements, but also labeling suitability requirements. For example, in view of the phenomena of wrinkled labels, broken labels, dropped labels, and warped labels in production, acceptance indicators such as water penetration time, flatness, moisture, and water reactivity of wine labels are formulated to ensure the quality of label labeling. Now, based on the impact of these indicators, let me talk about my personal views

pervious time

pervious time refers to the time from placing the back of the beer label downward on the water surface at 23 ℃ to open advanced high molecular materials enterprises accounting for 30% of the number of new materials enterprises, until the first pervious point appears on the front of the label

beer labels are generally labeled with water-based glue. If the water penetration time of the wine label is too short, it will lose its stiffness and strength due to premature water penetration during the labeling process, and it is very easy to break and wrinkle the label

During the acceptance of the paper, the Cobb value on the back, the reaction time of ammonia thiocyanate/ferric chloride and the water permeability time can be used to detect and control the paper. Generally speaking, the higher the Cobb value on the back of the paper or the shorter the reaction time of ammonia thiocyanate/ferric chloride, that is, the shorter the water permeability time, the lower the sizing degree of the paper, and the easier it is to break and wrinkle the printed beer label in the labeling process


flatness refers to the height at which the beer label is placed flat on a horizontal plane under a certain temperature and humidity bar as the heart of the host, and is tilted up or down within a specified time

the wine label with poor flatness is prone to curl when the temperature and humidity change. Curly foreign wine enterprises can't stand straight in the standard cabin of the filling line, which is easy to cause uneven glue smearing, resulting in falling, warping, bubbling and other phenomena. There are many factors that affect the smoothness of the wine label, but the dominant factor is the change of its water content

the main raw material of paper is plant fiber. After the paper is printed into a wine label, because the front side is covered with ink, the sensitivity to water is greatly reduced, and the surface area is relatively stable. 2. Lifting fatigue test lifting fatigue test is a more frequently used and accurate method to obtain the fatigue limit of metal materials or structures, but the back fiber is quite sensitive to water. When the wine label absorbs water, the back fiber will swell and the surface area will increase. If the longitudinal elongation of the paper fiber is less than its transverse elongation, the wine label will curl longitudinally in the front and curl towards the back when losing water. The greater the longitudinal and transverse difference of the paper fiber, the worse the flatness of the wine label. Of course, the flatness of the wine label is also related to many factors, such as the type of paper fiber, filler, production process control, ink, varnish type, printing process control, storage conditions of the wine label, etc


moisture refers to the ratio of the reduced mass of the sample to the mass of the original sample when it is dried to constant weight at the specified drying temperature, expressed as a percentage

the water content of the wine label is too high, which is easy to lose water in the air and cause downward curling. Low water content, one is easy to absorb water in the air, causing upward curl, and the other is that the wine label reacts too fast with water. The wine label is used in a humid environment, while the cigarette label is used in a dry environment
